The Wake Forest Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget during its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 19, at 6 p.m.

Location: Town Hall Board Chambers, 301 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC

Town Manager Kip Padgett presented the budget on May 5. Highlights include: no change in the property tax rate ($0.42/$100), no change in the vehicle fee ($30), a one-cent decrease in the downtown MSD tax, a $1/month increase in the residential solid waste fee, and 25 new full-time positions including 14 firefighters.
