The Convenience Center System

Franklin County operates 12 residential convenience centers plus one permitted transfer station. There is no county-wide curbside pickup for unincorporated residents.

  • Daylight Saving Time (spring/summer): 7 AM–7 PM
  • Standard Time (fall/winter): 7 AM–6 PM
  • Open days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat
  • Site #12 (Franklinton, 5 Landfill Road): open Thursdays instead

  • Lead-acid batteries (all sites)
  • Used motor oil and oil filters (11 of 12 sites — Lake Royale site excluded)

Town Residents

Residents inside Louisburg, Franklinton, Youngsville, and Bunn town limits receive town-provided trash pickup. Check your town’s official site for pickup days and rates.
