Electricity
Southern Granville is split between two electric cooperatives:
- Piedmont Electric Cooperative (PEMC): Primarily western/central Granville. Setup at pemc.coop.
- Wake EMC: Portions of southern Granville near NC-56 and NC-96 corridors. Setup at wemc.com.
Butner has no separate municipal electric utility. Confirm your provider by entering your service address on either site.
Water & Sewer
- Creedmoor (within city limits): Municipal water/sewer; broader area served by South Granville Water & Sewer Authority (SGWASA)

- Rural areas: Predominantly private wells and septic systems
Solid Waste & Recycling
- Granville County: 7 convenience centers contracted to GFL Environmental
- Butner convenience site: 2796 Old Route Hwy 75, Mon–Sat 7 AM–6 PM
- Creedmoor/Wilton convenience site: 3195 Hwy 56, Mon–Sat 7 AM–5:30 PM
- Butner Yard Waste Facility for residents
- Creedmoor city residents: Curbside trash and recycling via GFL contract within city limits
DMV
No NCDMV office in Creedmoor, Butner, or Stem. Nearest options:
- Henderson (Vance County, ~20 miles north)
- Oxford (within Granville County, north of the coverage area)
