Grand Openings: Dunn Creek Greenway Phases 3 & 4 and Miller Park

Join the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department for two ribbon-cutting ceremonies celebrating the grand openings of two exciting new facilities!

9:00 AM – Dunn Creek Greenway Phases 3 & 4 Grand Opening
Location: Near Flaherty Park Playground, 1100 N. White St., Wake Forest, NC
Phase 3 adds 1.8 miles of greenway connecting Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass to Ailey Young Park and the Traditions neighborhood. Phase 4 adds 0.62 miles connecting Flaherty Park, Orchards at Traditions, Flaherty Farms, and the Del Webb community to the Dunn Creek Greenway.

11:00 AM – Miller Park Grand Opening
Location: 401 Elm Ave. (behind Wake Forest Town Hall employees’ parking lot, just off South Taylor Street), Wake Forest, NC
Located at the intersection of South Franklin Street, Elm Avenue, and South Taylor Street, this two-acre wooded park features a picnic area and paved trails. Phase 1 improvements included stream restoration and renovations to enhance connectivity.

Both ceremonies are FREE and open to everyone. They will feature brief remarks by Mayor Ben Clapsaddle and other officials, along with light snacks.
