Sleeping Booty Band to Headline May 8 Friday Night on White

Local favorite Sleeping Booty Band will headline the May 8 Friday Night on White (FNOW), weather permitting. The free outdoor concert is scheduled from 6–9 p.m. along South White Street in downtown Wake Forest.

Food & Refreshments

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at several downtown restaurants. A variety of food and dessert trucks will also be on site in the Depot Parking Lot, 110 S. White St., and along East Owen Avenue. Food trucks scheduled for May 8 include VFW Chuck Wagon, Virgil’s Jamaica, Naked Empanada, Arepa Culture NC, Charlie’s Kabob Grill on Wheels, Wing Master E & Trinity Eats, Kao Thai, WaffleDup, Carolina Fish Fry, Oink N Moo, Tasty Turkey Que, Mama Birds, Two Roosters Ice Cream, Dusty Donuts, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Kona Ice. Menus are available on the Town website and in the Town app.

Beer Sales & Wake Forest Social District

Beer will be available for purchase within the FNOW event footprint starting at 5 p.m. White Street Brewing and Norse Brewing will each have beer serving stations throughout the festival area. Tokens/tickets may be purchased in advance at the respective breweries or at the event. No outside coolers or outside alcohol are permitted unless in an approved Wake Forest Social District Cup. Last call for outside beer and wine is 8:50 p.m., with festivities ending along South White Street at 9:30 p.m.

Parking & Transportation

Free parking will be available at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and along several side streets and parking lots throughout downtown Wake Forest. Rideshare users (Go Wake Forest, Uber, Lyft) are encouraged to use Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 Brooks St., as the drop-off and pickup location. Please read all signage β€” some lots may appear public but are private, such as the Renaissance Plaza parking lot.

The remaining 2026 Friday Night on White concerts will feature Night Years on June 12; Love Tribe on July 10; The Amazing Lounge Lizards on August 14; and Liquid Pleasure on September 11. For complete information, visit bit.ly/FridayNightonWhite.

In the event of inclement weather, updates will be posted on the Town website, Nextdoor, and Facebook page. Town app users will receive push notifications regarding any schedule changes. The safety of visitors, sponsors, and performers is the top priority when severe weather threatens.
