WAKE FOREST, NC – Beginning Tuesday, April 28, and continuing through Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. daily, Fred Smith Company — a contractor working at the future site of Wake Forest Fire Station #6 — will reduce Wait Avenue/NC 98 to one lane with intermittent two-way traffic near Middlegame Way/Bowling Forest. The temporary lane reduction is necessary to allow crews to locate utility lines.

Signage and flaggers will be in place to manage traffic flow and safely direct motorists through the work zone. Delays are expected — motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternate routes during the 9 a.m.–4 p.m. work hours.
