WAKE FOREST, NC — The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, located at 405 S. Brooks St., has two exciting announcements for the community this summer. First, the Centre is inviting local artists to submit work for the America 250 Art Exhibit. Second, the beloved Summer at the Centre Performance Series is returning for a third consecutive year.
America 250 Art Exhibit: What Does America Mean to You?
The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre is inviting artists of all ages, abilities, and mediums to answer the question, “What does America mean to you?” by submitting an original work of art for its America 250 Art Exhibit. Moreover, this is a unique opportunity for local and regional visual artists to display and sell their work in a professional gallery setting in Wake Forest.
The exhibit will feature 64 linear feet of hanging space and a medium-sized display cabinet to showcase both 2D and 3D works of art. Furthermore, selected works will be displayed in the Renaissance Centre Arts Annex from Monday, June 8, through Friday, July 17, 2026. To learn more and apply, visit wakeforestrencen.org/tickets-events/art-exhibits. The submission deadline is Sunday, May 24.
In addition, the Renaissance Centre will honor participating artists during a special free Artist Reception on Friday, June 12, from 6–8 p.m. in the Renaissance Centre Arts Annex. Best of all, the reception is free and open to the public, and all works will be available for purchase directly through the artists.
