Bass Fishing Tournament - Town of Wake Forest

WAKE FOREST, NC – If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to get out on the water, the Town of Wake Forest has you covered. The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will host two fishing tournaments from June 15–28 β€” a competitive Bass Fishing Tournament for anglers ages 13 and older, and a non-competitive Youth Fishing Tournament for kids 12 and under.

Over the two-week period, participants can visit any public fishery in Wake or Franklin County to reel in their biggest catch. Youth anglers may catch any species of fish, while bass tournament competitors are limited to bass only.

Registration Details

Online registration for both tournaments is open through Monday, June 1, at wakeforestnc.recdesk.com (search “fishing”). Entry fees are $10 for the bass tournament and $5 for the youth tourney.

Prizes & Gear

Bass tournament participants will receive a fishing scale to use during the competition. Youth tournament contestants will receive an “Early Angler” gift bag. Fishing scales and gift bags can be picked up on Thursday, June 11, from 10 a.m.–noon and 4–6 p.m. at Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St.
